If Folder Action checks if the specified folder exists and whether it is empty or not. If the actual folder's status matches the criteria, the If Folder Action runs an associated group of Actions.

Can be complemented with Else Action which can run its nested group of Actions, if the folder status does not match the criteria.

  • Exists · runs if a specified folder exists.
  • Exists and is empty · runs if a specified folder is empty.
  • Exists and contains no files · runs if a specified folder exists and that its root is free of files (though files and subfolders within its subfolders are permitted).
  • Exists and is not empty · runs if a specified folder is not empty.
  • Does not exist · runs if a specified folder does not exist.
