This Error Event is part of all Web and Internet Actions (e.g., Get Webpage Content, Universal Web API Call).

Error · No web profile…

"Web profile not found"

Overview

The Web profile not found Error Event indicates that the Web profile specified by the Action could not be found.

This usually occurs when the selected Web profile has been removed or renamed, or when a Task is moved or imported to an Automation Workshop instance where the referenced profile does not exist.

Event examples

See some examples of the No web profile Event messages:

  • Task "Publish daily report" Action "Universal Web API Call" failed for "api.example.com/v2/reports" with error: the specified web profile "Universal Reporting API" not found.
  • Action "Get Webpage Content" failed for "docs.example.net:8443/data" with error: the specified web profile "Documentation Portal 25" not found.

Solution

Open the Internet & Web Profiles Manager and navigate to the Profiles view. Make sure that the Web profile specified by the Action exists.

If the profile was renamed, select the correct Web profile in the Action. If the required profile no longer exists, create a new profile with the appropriate settings or select another existing profile.

If the Task was imported or moved from another Automation Workshop installation, make sure that the required Web profile is also available on the current Automation Workshop instance.

When moving Automation Workshop to a new server or workstation, use Backup and Restore to seamlessly transfer the complete configuration from the old machine. A full restore includes Tasks, Web profiles, and other Automation Workshop settings, preserving profile references and helping avoid missing-profile errors after migration.

Note

Web profiles are shared configuration profiles used by Internet & Web Actions. A web profile can contain common authentication, security, connection, headers, cookies, parameters, and other web settings.
