The Backup tab provides options for creating manual and automatic backups, helping prevent data loss and restore Automation Workshop to full operation after serious system failures.
| Backup | Details |

| Enable automatic backup | Enables scheduled automatic backups of Tasks, settings, and logs. Backups run under the System user account, or under the default user account when configured in Task options. |
| Frequency | Choose how often automatic backups are created—hourly, twice daily, daily, weekly, or monthly · Backup schedule explained |
| Retain | Set the maximum number of backup files stored in the backup folder. When the number is reached, each new backup replaces the oldest one. |
| Store backup in folder | Choose the folder where backup files are stored. Because temporary folders and files are also created in this location during backup operations, avoid storing unrelated content in the backup folder. |
| Backup Tasks | Backs up the complete Task folder structure, including all Task files, global variables, Internet & Web Profiles, and stored web cookies. |
| Backup Settings | Back up all Automation Workshop settings. |
| Backup Logs | Back up all files stored in the Automation Workshop log folder. |
| Manually backup now | Click the Backup button to immediately back up the items selected above. |
| Browse |  Use Browse to select a particular file or folder on a local disk, network share, or LAN location. |
Notes
- Automatic backups are not performed while Stop Automatic Task Triggering is enabled from the Tools menu.
