Default port to which outgoing mail server accepts mail packets is 25. Note that port 25 is the port of target machine, namely, port of outgoing mail server.

Command syntax:
  • febootimail -PORT 25

-PORT switch specifies outgoing mail server port to which email is accepted. If -PORT switch is not used, Command line email utility uses port 25, which means that accordingly port 25 must be opened and accepting emails on server, to which automatic email is sent. If -SSL parameter is specified (to use Secure Socket Layer), default port is set to 465.

C:\>febootimail -SERVER smtp.server.com -FROM jack@dos-mailer.com -TO john@dos-mailer.com -MSG send / schedule email batch by using SMTP port -PORT 475

In case mail server is not running on the port 25, specifying an outgoing mail server port is a mandatory to send email from dos prompt.
