Component (Date & Time category in Variable Wizard) retrieves only a part either from date or from time, such as year, month, day, hour, minute or second. Component allows extracting every possible date and time part with easy further integration into Actions. The application of Component becomes even more powerful with simultaneous use of multiple variables at a time.

Variable	Details
Date	Select the discrete part of date or time (year, month, day, day of the week, hours, minutes, seconds, milliseconds, etc.) the value of which will be retrieved. The returned part contains the value of the date & time at the moment of Action execution. Year · returns 4 digit year value. Year (2 digits) · returns 2 digit year value. Month · return numeric value of the month. Month (text) · returns 3 character long text value of the month. Month (long text) · returns the full text value of the month. Day of the month · returns current day of the month (date). Day of the week · returns day of the week (Sunday is 1st). Day of the week (ISO) · returns day of the week by ISO standard (Monday is 1st). Day of the week (text) · returns 3 character long text value of name of the weekday. Day of the week (long text) · returns full name of the weekday. Day of the year · returns the day number since the beginning of the year. Week of the year · returns the current week number of the year, starting from 0. The first week begins on the first Monday of the year. Other formats are available using the Execute Script Action. Hours · returns hour value in 12 hour format. Hours (24) · returns hour value in 24 hour format. Minutes · returns a minute value. Seconds · returns a value of current second. Milliseconds · returns a value of current millisecond. am/pm · returns am or pm depending on current time. Time zone · returns a GMT time zone value.
Add leading zero	Adds leading zero to month, day, hour value if it contains only one digit.
Universal time · UTC	Specifies that the values retrieved will be of universal time. When the UTC time option is disabled, and the system operates with local time, using the Adjust feature can result in selecting a time that either does not exist (during the spring DST transition) or is ambiguous (during the fall transition when one hour occurs twice).
Adjust	Date changes in Automation Workshop depend on the time unit you use. Exact units like hours or seconds add fixed durations, while calendar units like days or months adjust intelligently—preserving the time of day and handling things like DST and month lengths automatically · Adjustment details
Time units	Define and set a time frame in any given preferred format—be it milliseconds, seconds, minutes, hours, or days.
Preview	Shows format of date & time component generated on basis of selection.
Adjust	Streamline creation of Task workflows even further—instantly make quick variable adjustments such as in-place text replacement (all, first, or last), ensuring (starts, ends, or does not), trimming (whitespaces, quotes, etc.), or changing capitalization. Chain multiple adjustments. Optionally, set a different display name.
