Connect to SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol) server to monitor for file changes or perform a variety of operations with remote files and directories.

Server SFTP server name or IP address.
Port Server port to connect (usually SFTP uses TCP port 22).
Connection SFTP supports secure SSH connections using either SFTP or SCP protocol.
  • SFTP · SSH · recommended secure SSH File Transfer Protocol connections.
  • SCP · SSH · legacy SSH protocol implementation. Does not support timezones un DST.
Authentication Depending on server settings, use user credentials, a username with SSH Private key, or both.
  • User credentials · provide SFTP connection a username and a password.
  • SSH Private key · provide a SSH key and an optional passphrase for the key.
  • SSH Private key and Password · use 2FA—provide a username, a password, and a SSH key with an optional passphrase if the key is protected.
Username Specify username.
Password Specify password.
SSH private key path For SSH Private key authentication, provide SSH private key file. The key must be in PuTTY format. If OpenSSH key is provided, Automation Workshop offers to convert key automatically during Task creation process.
Private key passphrase For SSH Private key authentication, provide SSH key file passphrase.
Mask passwordMask passwordTo maximize security, mask the the password characters. While enabled, it is not possible to use Variable Wizard.
BrowseBrowseUse Browse to select particular file or folder on local disk, network share on LAN (local area network), etc.
Variable WizardVariable WizardUse Variable Wizard for advanced data input, such as, taking parameter from file, associated Trigger or other Action, etc.
