-CONFIRM or -RC switch adds a special tag to email technical header that causes various mail clients and web interfaces either to ask for confirmation that email is received by addressee or to confirm automatically by sending reply that email is delivered.
febootimail -CONFIRMfebootimail -RC
It is quite useful command since it decreases the risk of email not being received. However it must be used with awareness in order not to annoy recipients when it is not absolutely needed.
C:\>febootimail -SERVER smtp.server.com -FROM john@sender.com -TO jack@recipients.com -TEXT "request confirmation with command line mail utility" -CONFIRM Note that even if reading confirmation is received, it does not actually guarantee that email is read by user. Reading confirmation may be generated automatically by some mail clients or possibly user was just listing through his message base. However, due to some implementation of reading confirmation processing in corporate networks and other specific environments, it is possible to set this tag with command line mail utility.
