Overview
Info message indicates that Move File Action has successfully completed its operations; however, in fact nothing has been moved.
Cause
The message is shown when file masks and wildcards are used to configure Action for processing multiple files and there are no files with names that match specified file mask.
Additionally, attribute or file age filters may exclude all files, resulting in no matches being available for processing.
Additionally, if destination files already exist and overwrite is not enabled, Automation Workshop will skip moving to prevent data loss—resulting in a completed action but with zero files moved.
Resilience
The "0 files moved" informational event can occur in two cases. One is when Resilient file handling is enabled. This prevents the Task from failing when no files are found to move. Rather than throwing an error, the workflow continues, and the Action logs "0 files moved" as an informational event.
Alternatively, if the error code E104 "0 files affected" is disabled in the Advanced fallback options, the Action also avoids treating the absence of matching files as an error. In this case, it logs "0 files moved" and proceeds with the remaining steps.
