Overview
The error message If Service failed shows that the If Service Action has encountered an error and will stop your workflow execution. Additional detailed error messages may be shown indicating the failure cause.
Event examples
See an example of the If Service failed Event message:
- Task "Check Anti-malware" Action "If Service" failed on "Windows Defender". Access is denied. [os:5; aw:31]
Syntax reminder
The If Service Action may fail with a "syntax" error if no input is provided (an empty string) or some special characters (symbols that are not allowed in service names) are used. See an actual error message:
- The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect. [os:123]
