Ampersand (&) is used as technical symbol by Internet Explorer and precedes character which specifies printing code, e.g. (&w - windows title), (&u - web page address) etc. To print single ampersand (instead of specifying printing code) two consecutive ampersands && have to be used. For example, by putting text Printed by "John && Doe && Co." into footer field of Page Setup will result Printed by "John & Doe & Co." printed on page footer.
To print single ampersand, input && either into header or footer field in Page Setup window.
