Program failed with exit code

This Event is part of Start program / application Action events group.

OVERVIEW.
The error message is shown when the application executed by Start program / application Action returns an exit code with numerical value greater than specified in Options tab of Start program / application Action. The default is 0, which commonly means a successful application finish. Note that Start program / application Action can treat exit codes greater than specified either as warnings or errors.

NOTE.
Start program / application Action can stop the Task with error if executed application returns exit code that is treated as error. For this to happen, however, the program must terminate before the Action does. If the Start program / application Action is finished (i.e., the Task has already proceeded with subsequent Actions) when the executed application returns an error, then the Task is not stopped and On Error procedures not performed.

To always process the exit code of started application and perform related procedures, select Wait for program to complete / terminate option in Options tab of Start program / application Action properties.
