Options tab of Start program / application Action allows to specify the way a Task will proceed with the following Actions after executing program / application. It can launch the next Action right after Start program / application Action, with a fixed delay, when program is ready for receiving focus / keyboard input, or only after the termination of the specified application. It is also possible to choose application window startup state, namely, whether it will be maximized, minimized, or hidden.

| Continue immediately | Task's next Action will be executed immediately after starting the application. |
| Continue after delay of | Task's next Action will be executed a specified amount of time after starting program. |
| Wait until program is ready to receive focus / keyboard input | The Task will wait until the program is fully initialized and ready to receive focus or keyboard input before proceeding with next Action. |
| Wait for program to complete / terminate | Task's next Action is to be started right after the application finishes. |
| Do not wait longer than | If enabled, Automation Workshop does not wait for end of program execution more than specified amount of time before proceeding with the next Action. |
| Treat exit codes greater than | By default, the value of exit code (return code) of successful application completion is 0. When using Start Program / Application Action it may prove useful to treat exit codes greater than 0 (or any other specified value) as a possible or actual error by logging a warning or an error, respectively. |
| Program startup state | Choose program / application startup state. Note that some applications can avoid setting specified program startup state. Available options are:

| This Action is enabled | Start program / application Action will be performed only if checkbox is enabled. Action can be disabled by removing the mark from This Action is enabled checkbox. When disabled, Start program / application Action will neither start programs or batch files nor process email or other reports. |
